First Run Setup
When you first open Run Stats, it walks you through a quick setup. Here's what to expect:
Allow HealthKit Access
Run Stats asks to connect to Apple Health. Tap "Allow All" — this lets the app read your running workouts, distance, heart rate, and route data. Without this, the app can't show your runs.
Enter Some Basics
You'll be asked for a few things:
- Your weight — used to calculate running power if your watch records it
- Heart rate zones — so the app can classify your effort levels
- Your approximate 1km pace — helps scale graphs and classify workouts
Don't worry about being exact — you can change all of these later in Settings.
Your Runs Appear
Once you've granted access, Run Stats automatically imports your existing workouts from Apple Health. They'll appear on the main screen sorted by date, newest first. That's it — you're up and running!
